Small Streams

Most of the small streams that we fish are in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park in Swain County and Southeastern Tennessee. Finding paradise on a small stream is easily attainable in WNC. There are fare too many little creeks to count within an hour of Asheville, many of them teeming with small but beautiful wild browns, rainbows, and our very own Southern Appalachian strain of brook trout. The draw of these little creeks lies in the solitude and sheer beauty of the backcountry, along with the numbers and the colors of the wild fish that reside there.

Because of the size of the streams and the abuse that many anglers inflict on the waters they fish, we have chosen not to mention the specific names of these creeks. We find that by limiting their publicity and the number of anglers on them, we can help preserve some of the last wild gems of our area.

Come fish with us and see the magesty of the small things in life. These streams make you take a second and relax and just enjoy being somewhere that seems a million miles away.
