Fly Fishing Anchorage, Alaska We take an annual trip to Alaska sometime in mid July to mid August. Our outfitter is one of Alaska's finest and was recently named Orvis Outfitter of the Year. Rainbows and char are the main targets, especially on dry flies, as are whichever Salmon are in the river at the time.

Floating allows us to fish new, uncrowded water each day, free of weather restraints. Also, float trips are less expensive than fly-out lodges. If you fly out - whever you land, others can too - and do!

Experienced guides set camp and prepare exceptionally good meals. Wildlife is abundant and visible regularly. These trips are a great way to experience Alaska up close and personal and comfortably.
